I love sharing my thoughts about anime. I never really thought anyone would read it, but some of you actually do! Real-life has really kept me from keeping up with my site, and that makes me a bit sad. I definitely need to find a better way to find enjoyment in it again.
That being said, I don’t really know which direction I want to go. I don’t really have a “format”. Some of you do seasonal writing, some do episodic writing, some of you do after-series writing. I’m not sure what “my thing” is. I have trouble focusing on any particular style. I am more of a stream-of-consciousness writer. Writing formal papers in my college classes has been a challenge. I have to write, and then re-write, my disorganized thoughts into a cohesive paper.
I am contemplating doing exactly that. Maybe the best type of blogging for me is to just say what’s on my mind. I know not having rhyme or reason to my posts might run people off, but I think at this point, it is fair to say I do all of this for fun and as an outlet.
I think one of my biggest challenges is obvious. SPOILERS. I am so paranoid about spoiling a show for someone. On the other hand, what I really want to write are my actual thoughts, feelings, interpretations, etc. of the show. I feel like my style of writing is best served when a show has completely ended and I can take the approach of “read at your own risk”. I think I will write better if I am not stuck into a traditional mold. I found myself really struggling with making my writing formulaic. I feel like I would enjoy writing more if I wasn’t so worried about sticking to a format.
There are a few anime that I watched this season that I would like to express my thoughts on:
- Demon Slayer: Entertainment District
- My Dress-Up Darling;
- Sasaki and Miyano.
I am going to try to just be myself and write as I would as if I were talking to a friend and I hope this style doesn’t run you all away. I’d like to express my opinions and be able to interact with people. I am hoping this will spark more participation from readers because I really do like reading your blogs and keeping up with your interests. I’ll write about anime, movies, games, life, work, etc. Mostly anime, but I’d like to share other thoughts on other topics as well. Hope you stick around on this journey.
I’m so glad to find your blog!
You’re right and I think the best way of blogging is what makes you feel comfortable. Your genuine readers will definitely read your posts. You don’t have to write the way others do but shine in your own way.
