Can you believe it is already May? April was an good month for me. I celebrated my 14th wedding anniversary. The only bummer was I got sick on the day of our anniversary. I stayed home from work and we did not celebrate that day. We did eventually go to Casa do Brazil to celebrate. I love Brazilian steakhouses. Unfortunately, I did not take any pictures to share with you all!

Doodles. I did a few doodles last month. To be perfectly honest, I haven’t had the time to doodle as much as I would like. My free time has drastically dwindled for quite a few reasons. I still find joy in doodling. I was happy with the first two. Something weird happened on the third one. His face is funny. The hands are on point though.

The upcoming move. A quick recap. A little over a year ago, our less-than-one-year-old office building was struck by lightning, which caused a fire, which caused the sprinklers to go off, and they ran all night. So, technically, we had a fire, but the damage was all water damage. They had to strip the building to the studs and rebuild. We are told the building will be move-in ready in July. I am excited. I just ordered my replacement furniture and plotted out where everything will go. I went with white furniture because I don’t really care for dark wood. I work in a law office and I want my space to be modern. I can’t wait to show y’all the final product. July will be here before we know it!

The gym. I am still plugging away at the gym. I am happy to announce that I have lost a total of 11 lbs. I don’t really see my stamina or speed improving, but I assume that will come with time. We are working on improving our diet, specifically adding more protein. I’ve started using protein powder to jump start my morning. I used to not eat breakfast at all, so this is a start. We’re also trying out best to cut calories where we can. It’s a slow process, but it is reaping rewards. My husband and I have lost weight and we’re having fun trying new recipes out. We upgraded our air fryer, bought a Ninja Creami Deluxe to make protein ice cream, and a bullet blender for sauces and smoothies. Expect more food content as we use the weekends to experiment!

That pretty much sums up April. Did you have a productive month? Are you looking forward to May?

  1. Wow your doodles are amazing! If that’s doodling I would hate to see what your art looks like when you try 🤣 your office furniture will look sleek and stylish when it’s all set up. And congrats on the weight loss, that’s amazing and keep going!
