I went to the gym this morning, so that means I am extra hungry extra early. Instead of beating my head against my desk in hunger, I went to the local Whataburger for a late breakfast/early lunch. Now, if you don’t live where Whataburger exists, know this. Their drive-thru is painfully slow. It’s just a fact of life. You’re going to wait. Well, after waiting behind three cars, I finally get to the window. My excitement grew. My belly rumbled. I handed her my card. She tried two times. Read error. With frustration, she tried to hand the card back. She told me there was something wrong with the card. I asked her to run it one more time. On the third time, I noticed that she was putting in the card backwards meaning the chip wasn’t going into the chip reader. I politely pointed out that she was putting the card in backwards. Then I politely pointed out the card works with tap readers. She looked at me in embarrassment and tapped the card to her terminal and the transaction went through. I felt bad for her. Her face was bright red. I mean, people make mistakes. But, I thought it was hilarious. I did my best to not laugh at her brain fart.
Let’s see. Have I had an embarrassing moment? The first thing that came to mind was when I was in fifth grade. I was sitting next to my crush during a movie. I don’t remember the movie, but there was a funny scene. I laughed and then immediately farted. I still remember the look on his face. Then he laughed at me. I was mortified.
Have you ever had an embarrassing moment?
