TENACITY
If I had to pick one quality about myself that I like, it’s my tenacity. When I have a goal in mind, I am a force of nature. I can move boulders…figuratively.

In high school, I learned a completely different instrument through sheer will and tenacity. I was going to be the best snare drummer, and I think it can be argued, at the time, I was. I also wanted to be the best flute player at the same time. It can be argued, I was. I wanted to graduate college with a 4.0 GPA. I did. These things do not come easy to me. I just worked my ass off.
Unfortunately, it is also the quality I don’t like about myself, too. With tenacity comes a lot of anxiety and mental health issues. It isn’t a healthy process that I put myself through to reach my goals. It is often toxic and I suffer greatly for it.
What about you? What do you like about yourself?
