Quick Recap: Ida gets mad at Aoki for being a bit selfish and thinking only of himself. To make up for his transgressions, Aoki plans the entire trip to Kyoto. After their trip to Kyoto, they decide they want to go to college together. Aida meets Hashimoto’s parents and finds out that they’re former pro-wrestlers.
Chapter 29. Summer is coming to a close and something is on both Ida and Aoki’s mind. Aoki is very worried about what Ida thinks about not telling people they’re dating. Aoki finally brings it up and it seems like Ida hasn’t thought about it at all. Meanwhile, Ida has “making a move” on his mind. Ida brings up the fact that they weren’t able to go to a festival and mentions there is another one they can go to.
At the festival, Aoki is having the time of his life. However, Ida still has “making a move” on his mind. It seems like every opportunity is busted by someone they know. First, they ran into a lost Hashimoto. Then, Aoki’s sister tried to recruit them for the stall. Then, they run into Kokoro who tries to drag them to their spot. It seems like everyone and everything is interrupting Ida. Sensing this, Aoki brings Ida to a special spot away from the crowds with a better view. Ida admits that there are moments that he could tell people they were dating. They come to the mutual decision that they’ll discuss it as it comes up. Then Ida brings up the “making a move” situation. Aoki tells him there isn’t a specific time, you do it when you feel like it. So, Ida goes in for a kiss.

Chapter 30. School is back in session and Aoki is still shy after Ida stole his first and second kiss. Aoki comes crashing down to reality when he gets his test scores in. He’s not doing well enough to go to the same colleges as Ida. Ida scored an A and Aoki scored an E. Aoki rushes back to cram school working hard every night. Okano is worried about him and tells Aoki that he shouldn’t work himself until he is sick. On his way home from cram school, Aoki sees the moon and decides to take a picture of it for Ida. Immediately after he hits send, Ida calls him. Ida wants to meet with him. Ida confronts him about his score and how hard he is working. This makes Aoki mad and he storms off. The next day, Ida is not at school. Hashimoto and Aida tell Aoki to go check on Ida. When he gets to Ida’s house, Ida is asleep. When he wakes up, Aoki apologizes for getting mad at him. Ida lets it be known that he doesn’t trust Okano and that he should ask Ida for help. So, instead of heading back to cram school, he stays at Ida’s to quietly study. However, Aoki makes a sudden discovery.

Chapter 31.
It’s time for the school’s cultural festival and the class decides to do Cinderella again. Except, this time, the original actors will play Cinderella and the Prince instead of Aoki and Ida. As they prepare for the festival, Ida and Aoki make plans to experience the festival together. Despite telling his parents not to come to the festival, they do anyhow.
Hashimoto and Aida have an important conversation. Hashimoto tells Aida that she got her recommendation that she has been studying hard for. Unfortunately, Aida breaks the news to her that he plans on going to trade school in Tokyo instead of staying local. This upsets Hashimoto since they would be in a long distance relationship. She begins to cry and Aida apologizes for making her cry. As she freshens up in the bathroom, Aida asks Aoki to help him out with the play. When Hashimoto comes back, Aoki goes to find Ida except Ida is talking with his mom! After they’re done talking, they go to experience the rest of the festival. After teasing him a bit, Ida tells him that he is glad they met.

Chapter 32. It’s time for parent/teacher conferences and Ida and Aoki are there are the same time so their parents get a chance to talk. Aoki is super embarrassed and doesn’t pay attention the entire time. Back at Ida’s house, they figure out that Ida’s dog doesn’t like Aoki because of the floral scent of his clothes. Ida lends Aoki a sweater and Ida’s dog doesn’t seem to mind him anymore. Aoki is worried about what Ida’s parents think of him. Ida mentions that he will properly introduce him as his boyfriend. However, Aoki isn’t quite prepared for that. Ida gives him a kiss on the cheek embarrassing Aoki to the point he rushes home still wearing Ida’s sweater.
Aoki realizes that what he did wasn’t nice, so he went to return the sweater. However, as he got there, he witnesses Ida’s mom scolding Ida for spending so much time with Aoki. Aoki was heartbroken that he already got on Ida’s mom’s bad side. He goes back home to ponder what to do. He washes Ida’s sweater and shrinks it. Aoki’s mom notices it was handmade and Aoki is terrified that he will make Ida’s mom even more mad. Aoki’s mom tells him to go apologize and be honest. Aoki gathers his courage and goes to Ida’s house. There, he gives a sincere apology and asks to be with Ida.

It is then that Ida’s mom realizes that he overheard their conversation and clears up the confusion. She was scolding Ida for taking up too much of Aoki’s time and that he could be inconsiderate that way. They have dinner together and it seems that everything is perfectly fine.
THOUGHTS
I really love Ida. He’s such a good kid. Aoki is finally starting to gain a bit of confidence in the relationship. Thank goodness. It’s so cute that Ida kisses Aoki so much and adorable that Aoki is still embarrassed by it. I hope he grows out of that soon.
I’m not sure what to think of Hashimoto and Aida’s relationship. I’m not sure what to think of Aida. Is he serious about Hashimoto? Part of me still thinks that he doesn’t like Hashimoto all that much. Sure, he spent a lot of time studying with her, and she inspired him to go after his dream of being a hairstylist, but I just can’t seem to think they’ll make the long haul.
