What strategies do you use to maintain your health and well-being?

THERAPY

I am blessed to have excellent health insurance that allows me to see a therapist. I have bipolar II which requires a lot of therapy to ensure that I stay away from major manic episodes. I go every two weeks and it is a major component of my health and well-being. I love my therapist. She’s a pretty awesome person and it helps to surround yourself with positive, upbeat people. Therapy helps me deal with my irritability and helps me find emotional balance.

NAIL SALON

I go to the nail salon every two weeks to get my nails done. It’s so relaxing and makes me feel better about myself. It is another component to my health and well-being. Taking care of yourself always has a positive effect on your mental health. Every month or so, I also get a pedicure. Pamper yourself! You deserve it!

BTS

I listen to a lot of BTS as part of my strategy to combat stress. Music is another component to my health and well-being. I love BTS’ music so much.

GYM

I haven’t been going lately, and I really need to get back on the wagon. I normally go to the gym to walk on the treadmill. My husband is investing in workout equipment, so I might rotate walking and strength training soon.
