Quick Recap. We meet three school girls, Yuki, Rii, and Kurumi of The School Living Club. They are surviving the zombie apocalypse at school. Yuki is mentally traumatized and still sees everything as normal. Rii and Kurumi do their best to play along with her. Their advisor is Megu-nee. It becomes apparent that the only that can see or hear Megu-nee is Yuki.
Chapter 7: Every Day
We meet a different girl doing her morning routine alone in a store room. She follows a school schedule, but it is obvious she isn’t at school. We are given glimpses of the day the zombie apocalypse began. There is another girl with her at the mall when a commotion begins. Fast forward, she is in a store room with this other girl who decides she can’t take it anymore and is going to leave the store room.

Chapter 8: Field Trip
Kurumi is having Yuki time her running down the hall. Kurumi’s time has gotten slower, but Yuki points out she is running with the shovel. Yuki teases her and tells her she should marry the shovel. Yuki announces that they should go on a field trip. Rii tells Yuki to write a proposal and submit it to Megu-nee. Yuki goes to the advisor room looking for Megu-nee. She arrives to an empty advisor room that is stained with the happenings of a zombie attack. However, Yuki doesn’t see it.

She then comes back with approval. Kurumi takes the keys to Megu-nee’s car and rushes the parking lot with her speed. She brings the car to Rii and Yuki hitting several zombies along the way.
Chapter 9: Side Trip
Rii, Yuki, and Kurumi are navigating the blocked streets. They end up in front of Kurumi’s house. She goes in alone looking for any survivors, but finds no one. She jots down a note for her parents to let them know she is staying at the school.

When she comes out, she talks to Rii. There, they have a conversation of hope. They hope that their hero will come soon and save them from the zombies. Yuki overhears and tells them they should be their own heroes.
Chapter 10: Shopping
The girls arrive at a shopping mall. Yuki doesn’t realize that the mall is decrepit and shows signs of a huge disaster. Rii and Kurumi play along. They enter the mall carefully. Yuki finds a music player and wants to buy it with her money. The girls make their way up the building looking for survivors. On the way, they stop at various shops to try on clothing and have a bit of normalcy. Yuki finds some cute emergency sirens that she hangs on her backpack. When they reach the fifth floor, they see a wall of boxes. Kurumi jumps over the wall of boxes and immediately tells the other girls to not come over. There are zombies. The girl in the storage room hears the commotion.

Chapter 11: Meeting
Realizing that beyond the fifth floor is probably swarming with zombies, they follow the trail of light sticks they left to find their way back. Meanwhile, the girl in the storage room braves her way toward their sound. She finds the trail of light sticks, and with hope, follows them hoping to catch the people that left them. Yuki, Rii, and Kurumi are on the first floor. As they’re about to leave, Yuki hears a voice. She runs toward the voice and finds the girl from the storage room trapped on top of a piano. Rii pulls the emergency alarm toys to draw the zombies away. They reach the girl.

Chapter 12: We’re Back
Rii looks for bites on the stranger who is passed out. They handcuff her in the back seat as a precautionary measure. They find a journal in her pocket. We are then transported to the stranger’s memories. It was the day the zombie invasion started. They were on their way home from school and decided to stop by the mall. When they arrive, there was a commotion. That’s when they tried to go upstairs in the elevator and found people massacred. They hid in a dressing room and a man found them. They hid with a group of strangers and worked together to survive. An accident happens and the stranger and her friend Kei ran to a storage room to stay safe. The girls arrive at the school. Their field trip is over.

THOUGHTS
I’m glad that they found another survivor. In this volume, we really see the extent of Yuki’s trauma. She’s stuck in time only seeing a world before the zombie invasion. The girls do their best to keep her happy and not traumatize her further. However, in the mall, we see a glimpse of her memories of Megu-nee which prompted her to run to find the stranger. At this point, I am convinced that Megu-nee is dead. I am really liking this series!
