Daily writing prompt
What is a word you feel that too many people use?

LITERALLY

People literally use literally too much. And what is worse? They use it incorrectly. “I literally died.”

No, you did not literally die.

To make this more interesting, here are a few words/phrases that are misused (and used too often) that grind my gears.

“Taken for granite.” Have you ever heard or read this? It bothers me SO much. No, I haven’t been taken by igneous rock.

Irregardless. It’s such a pet peeve that I don’t even know if I spelled it correctly.

“For all intensive purposes.” I hear this one quite a bit and it ruffles my feathers.

What about you? Do you have some pet peeve phrases or are bothered by a word used way too much?
