Episode 2: I Want to Leave It to Tino and Take It Easy
The episode opens with the very young Grieving Souls arriving at the capital Association. Luke kicks down the door and proclaims himself the best swordsman. Liz proclaims herself the best thief. They announce that they’re registering as hunters. Krai goes up to the counter and is told to register his party’s name and crest. In an effort to try to get himself booted from the group, he chooses the name Grieving Souls with a skull-looking crest. At first, they’re against it, but when he mentions he can’t get motivated and has to leave the party, they change their tune.

Tino and Krai approach Greg, Gilbert, and Rhuda. They still can’t believe Krai is Thousand Tricks and leader of the greatest party and clan. Krai invites them to group with Tino to take on the “chore” that was assigned to Krai. Gilbert can’t accept who Krai is. So, Krai decides to give up on Gilbert and solicit the other two. As Krai is walking away, Gilbert challenges him. Krai tells Gilbert the fight won’t be with Krai, but with the party leader, Tino. Tino absolutely demolishes Gilbert. Krai points out to Gilbert that Gilbert left his party due to the skill gap. Gilbert is surprised Krai knows that. Krai kicks the Purgatorial Sword and the fire engulfs Krai. Gilbert is in shock that his sword produced more flame for Krai than he has ever been able to manage.

White Wolf’s Den is a level 3 treasure vault. Considering Gilbert and Tino are level 4, Krai is convinced that they’re going to be okay. Meanwhile, he shines his precious relics. His vice-captain points out that Krai’s spending is out of control when it comes to relics.
Krai goes to some friends to have his relics charged. Krai is told that there is a strong phantom attacking things near the White Wolf’s Den. The story gets more grim. They explain that vault must be crawling with phantoms. Krai even learns that there is talk about increasing the vault’s level due to the increase in difficulty. They tell Krai the area is dangerous and that a party went missing. They were level 5. Krai looks down at his “chore” sheet and realizes that he might have sent the level 4 party into a dangerous situation.

Tino and her party are headed to the White Wolf’s Den. Tino explains to the group that their formation is all to her Master’s plan. The party is caught in a discussion about how everything happening is all Krai’s master plan.
Meanwhile, Krai is worried back at the clan house. He gears up to go save the ill-equipped group. He decides he’ll send Ark later to take care of the “chores”. He raids his relics closet for an armory of things to help him along the way.
As the group keeps approaching the Den, they get attacked by a phantom with a sword and armor.
Krai dons a magical cloak…that is literally defective…to reach the party in time.

THOUGHTS
I am excited to see what kind of chaos Krai will bring with his relics. He is obviously skilled at using them even though he downplays his own strengths. After all, he couldn’t get to level 8 by simply tagging along with his friends, could he? Will continue to monitor!
