Episode 2: A Kiss with a Witch
The Prince is reading a book. He calls out to “Mel” who is invisible. She tells the Prince that she relayed the message he had. She asks if there is any point to which he replies, “Who knows?”
Back in her home, Alicia is looking at a map devising a plan to visit the village of Loana by herself. The book knowledge she has gained about the poor village isn’t enough to satisfy her curiosity.

She travels to the village at night. Loana is encased in a magical barrier to keep criminals in the village. Since she is noble and possesses magic, she is able to pass into the village. She immediately notices the stench and that people without homes sleep outside in the dirt. She meets a blind man that knows she is a noble. He takes her into his home where he tells her his story. His name is Will and he used to work at the castle until he said something he shouldn’t which led to his blindness and banishment to Loana. He asks about her story and she was easily able to talk to the man about her aspirations to become the world’s greatest villainess. At the end of the night, Will tells her not to come back, but she is defiant and tells him she will come. He gives her advice to only come at night.
A year has passed. Her brother and his friends have all turned 15 and have entered the Academy where they are to meet the heroine of the story. Alicia is excited to meet them once she becomes the villainess. As she is walking down the hall, Eric invites her out to the town. Her brother immediately says he is going, too. In town, she sees a plant shop. They take her inside and she makes her knowledge of plants known. She tries her best to exude villainy.

When they arrive back at her house, the other boys are hanging out. They tease Eric about his date with Alicia which receives glares from the Prince. The next boy tells her that she should go out with him next. He asks her what she wants to do. After thinking about it, she mentions that she wants to take the swordsman test. Her brother gets assertive with her and tells her to stop. As he goes to touch her, she smacks his hand and tells him she won’t back down. She slams the door and then is pleased with her villainous reaction.
The next day, she overhears her father and oldest brother talking in hushed whispers about how much longer they can stall before telling her the truth. She bursts in and tells them to stop treating her like a child. Her father bargains with her and tells her that they can discuss it when she turns 15 and enters the Academy.
Alicia decides to go Loana during the day and what she finds is the reason why Will tells her to come at night. A young boy is nearly beaten to death. Will brings him into his house but tells Alicia he doesn’t have the strength to make it through the night. Will tells Alicia that this particular boy is very bright and would have had a bright future if it weren’t for being raised in Loana.
Alicia goes to Paul, the plant store owner. She requests the plant to make a medicine. He gives it to her for free and tells her that as long as she becomes a patron of the store, its okay. She runs the medicine to the young boy in Loana. She swears to Will that she will dedicate herself to her studies and become the best villainess.

As she strolls the library in her house, she decides that she needs to learn magic. Just as she thought it, a section of the library magically appears. She finds the magical grimoires she has been search for. She delves into studying. She starts with level 1 magic and quickly learns more spells. A few days later, she progressed from floating books to moving the book shelves with level 5 magic. She notices that she has a headache and is a bit weak. She chalks it up to low stamina. Just then, he father calls for her. The King is paying Alicia a visit.
She enters the room that the King is in. The heads of the Five Great Noble Families are with the King. The King asks Alicia another pointed question and wants her opinion. He asks her how she feels about how the kingdom operates. She once again retorts with another pointed answer. She explains she despises how there is preferential treatment to nobles. The King, as always, is intrigued by her answer while some of the other heads of the noble houses are getting upset. The Prince notices that Alicia doesn’t look well.
She exits the room and then almost immediately faints. The Prince is there to catch her.

The Prince waits for her to wake up. He wants her to take her medicine, but she’s too weak. So, he does what anyone would do in that situation.

THOUGHTS
LEWD! She’s only 10-years old, Prince Duke! Slow your roll!
That aside, I like this show so much. I love how dedicated she is to her dream of being the perfect villainess. It’s hilarious that she really doesn’t know the first thing about being a villainess. I am intrigued by this underlying story. There is obviously something special about Alicia that her father and brothers, and possibly the King, know. It all comes back to the roses. What do they mean? The Prince has a blue one. They found the girl with the gold one. Does Alicia have one, too? What was it that Will said that got him banished? There is a lot going on underneath the surface. Will continue to monitor.
