Episode 3: I Want to Fly Straight Through the Sky
Krai retells the story of The Grieving Souls’ first week in the capital. While eating, they discuss the cyclops they encounters. A drunkard overhears and walks up to taunt the group. He assumes they ran away. Liz walks up with the head in a bag and shows the old man. They cause a ruckus and Krai expresses that is why he told Liz not to take the head.

Back with Tino, they defeat the phantom that was standing in their way. The party expresses that maybe they should retreat because the conditions of the quest has changed. Tino disagrees and wants to move forward. With her blind faith in Krai, she explains to the group it is all part of Krai’s plan.
When they get to the entrance to the Den, there are more phantoms with weapons. Tino refuses to let down and explains her plan. Meanwhile, Krai is still flying toward the group. Tino’s group defeats the phantoms that were outside the den. As they enter, more phantoms appear. The group has gained some confidence and are ready to face the enemy. During the battle, Gilbert recalls his parting from his former party.
Tino realizes that the boss is near. The party returns to fear and wants to withdraw. Tino reminds Greg that he should stop being so cautious. She turns to her blind faith again and bolsters the party’s confidence by explaining Krai is a God and planned everything.

Krai enters the Den while Tino’s party encounters the boss. Tino realizes that the boss isn’t wearing a helmet and that must be its weak spot. Greg’s sword breaks during the battle. The group continues its assault. Tino dispatches the boss, but gets her leg slashed in the process. As they are recuperating, four more bosses enter the room. Tino’s plan is to retreat. Greg and Gilbert offer to be meat shields while the girls run away. Just then Tino uses the Shooting Ring to blind one of the phantoms. As they are about to get crushed, Krai crashes into the phantoms. The phantoms seem to be scared. One of the phantoms attacks, but only breaks a barrier. Krai goes on the offensive and destroys one of the phantoms.

After throwing Siri’s Slime, he orders Tino and the party to retreat. While they’re running, Tino remembers the day that she met Krai and Grieving Souls. She was being harassed by two slave traders. The Grieving Souls walked up and saved her. From that day, she vowed to be a part of Grieving Souls.
After running away from the phantoms, Krai tells the party they need to walk. However, Krai is lost.

THOUGHTS
I love Krai and how everyone thinks he is this badass. It’s hilarious. Tino’s undying, unwavering adoration of Krai is adorable. I wonder what Krai is going to do next. He’s lost in the Den and he has a party following him to no end. Will they run into even stronger monsters? Will they find the party they’re looking for? After all, it looks like they’ve actually forgot that part of the job. Will continue to monitor.
