There are so many memorable moments in anime, it’s hard to narrow it down to just three.

#3 Yuri on Ice – The Kiss

Is it a kiss, or is it a hug? That was the talk of the town after this episode. Leading up to this moment, it was obvious that Victor was smitten with Yuri. However, Yuri was plagued by self-confidence and anxiety issues. Victor worked hard to slowly tear down the walls that Yuri had built around himself.

#2 Goblin Slayer – Opening Scene

I didn’t know what to expect out of Goblin Slayer that night I sat down to watch it. I was not expecting the graphic nature of it, but I was instantly transported into that world where goblins are terrible, terrible creatures. One of the things that caught my eyes was Priestess urinating herself out of fear. I was quite surprised that they would put that kind of detail in, but it punctuated how much danger she was in.

#1 Demon Slayer – The Death of Rengoku

The battle was epic. The outcome, not so much. I don’t cry at movies often, but I did cry in the theater for this one. His monologue to Tanjiro was heartbreaking, but at the same time, uplifting. He passed away with a smile on his face knowing that he did his best and died protecting the innocent.
