Filthy Casual for Life

2025 has not had a great start.

You might be aware that there are wildfires in California right now. Specifically, in Altadena, California. My sister-in-law and her husband live in Altadena. The morning started with a text from my husband saying they were evacuated from their home. From that point, my stomach started to hurt and my anxiety shot through the roof. Throughout the day, there were many updates, but none were positive. Right before I left work for the day, the dreaded reality hit. My husband texted me the picture of the remnants of their home. Nothing but the chimney was left standing.

I feel absolutely gutted for them. I have no idea what they’re going through. I simply cannot imagine the feelings of helplessness and loss. I feel helpless and sad. My heart is broken that their lives are now in chaos.

If you’re the praying type, please send up a few for my sister and brother-in-law and for the others that lost their homes and businesses today. Look around you and be thankful for all that you have. All it takes is a literal spark to take it all away.
