I don’t know if it is a crazy idea, but if I had to open a business, it would be an anime-themed entertainment café with a manga library, karaoke, and shop.
The café. The café would serve cute foods and drinks similar to a maid café. All the food and drinks would be anime-inspired. Nothing would be too heavy or complicated.
The Manga Library. For the manga library, I would carry all of the recent titles for people to read. It would have cozy nooks to camp out in, grab a latte, and read. I am not sure how I would approach this business wise. Obviously, I would have to make enough money to fund the purchasing of books. There would probably have to be a cover charge of some sort. I am undecided if I would want to make a manga rental service. Perhaps charge a monthly subscription fee to be able to check out books.
Karaoke. I would love for there to be karaoke rooms to rent. You can order snacks and drinks from the café and jam out with your friends.
Merchandise. For the shop, it would carry all-things-nerdy, not just anime. It would be a beacon for pop culture and anime. Everything from manga, light novels, board games, collectibles. I would try to have a little of everything.
Not really a “crazy” idea, but something I always toyed around with in the back of my mind.
