I needed a break from EverQuest. I recalled that I wanted to try out Hello Kitty Island Adventure and found that it was on Steam. So, I purchased the Deluxe Edition and gave it a go.
Per Steam:
Embark on a cozy, open-world adventure with Hello Kitty and Friends. Befriend beloved characters as you explore and restore a mysterious island, solve ancient puzzles, cook delicious dishes, customize yourself and your cabins, and so much more.
Cooking. If you like cooking in games, Hello Kitty has plenty of opportunities to learn recipes and cook. So far, I have unlocked an oven, pizza oven, soda machine, ice cream machine, and an espresso machine. There are plenty of recipes and even upgrades that you learn further into the game.

Puzzles. There are these ancient rooms that have puzzles. To my delight, the puzzles are not very challenging. Yes, I said what I said. I hate it when I get stuck on a puzzle have to resort to Googling it. At the end of the room is a chest where you can get furniture or other island goods.
Outfits. I love dressing up my characters and there are plenty of outfits to do that. There is a store run by Tuxedosam that allows you to purchase new clothing pieces every day.
Cabins. You get to collect furniture and decorate cabins for friends to come visit! My Melody runs a shop that allows you to purchase furniture pieces on the daily.
Collection. It’s easy to make purchases because collecting currency and ingredients is a breeze! There are plenty of each and they’re easy to find.

Fishing. Like to fish? You can do that in Hello Kitty. Sell the fish for currency or trade them in for potential furniture.
Quests. There are plenty of quests to break up the monotony of collection. Unlock more content and learn more about the mysterious island!
Special Events. This month was The Month of Meh, a tribute to Gudetama. Turn in yolks to earn cool pieces of Gudetama-themed furniture.

Impressions
I love the game, however, it is not original. It is a dupe of Nintendo’s Animal Crossing. There are obvious differences, but also the obvious similarities. There is just enough difference to make the format refreshing. Also, you get to hang out with all of the Sanrio family! I would definitely recommend if you enjoyed Animal Crossing.
