A favorite pastime of mine is playing table top games. I find them relaxing in a different way than video games. I can’t really say that I have an all-time top three. My preferences change quite often. So, today, I am sharing three games that are older that might not be as mainstream or new.
#3 – Potion Explosion

Number of Players: 2 to 4
Age: 8+
Average Playing Time: 30-45 minutes
This game is pretty straightforward. You have a tray of colored marbles that represent ingredients to potions. You collect the marbles to complete your potions cards to score points. Once you have completed a potion, you can use that potion to unleash bonuses.
I love playing this game. It takes quite a bit of strategy to pick the right marble. You can create chain reactions to collect more marbles, so picking the right marble is crucial.
#2 – Azul

Number of Players: 2 to 4
Age: 8+
Average Playing Time: 30-45 minutes
This game takes a little more strategy than most. Players take turns drawing colored tiles and placing them on their player board. Based on how you played the tiles, you earn points. It’s better explained in the above video.
I love playing this game with my husband. There is a mini version that we bring on cruises with us. It’s a great travel game if you have the mini version.
#1 – Marrakech

Number of Players: 2 to 4
Age: 6+
Average Playing Time: 30-45 minutes
You’re a rug salesperson who is trying to outwit the competition! Lay out your rugs and avoid landing on your opponents carpets, otherwise you owe them coin!
This is a very simple game, yet so much fun. It’s one of my absolute favorite games to play right now.
