Before reading my opinion, you should watch The Travel Scout’s quick blurb about it:
In the Cruise News with The Travel Scouts, Jason reports that Carnival Cruise Lines banned a guest for life due to smuggling alcohol on-board.
How did they find out? The idiots posted about it on their social media! In their entitled world, the banned idiots are calling for Carnival to give them an apology because they didn’t really smuggle alcohol on board. They are not claiming it was a “joke.”
This is a classic case of F*** Around and Find Out.
This person 100% deserved to be banned for life simply due to their stupidity! Let’s say for argument’s sake that it was a joke. It isn’t funny. Pretending to break clearly identified rules is not funny. Showing people how to smuggle alcohol onto a cruise is not funny.
This brings me to my observation about social media. People are too obsessed with the anonymous interaction. They’re addicted to the numbers of social media, and it’s sad. Very, very sad. More and more “influencers” do stupid shit, get caught, and then cry about it when they’re penalized.
Cruising is expensive. Alcohol on cruises is expensive. If you HAVE to drink, buy the drink package. If you can’t afford it, then don’t go or don’t drink. It really is that simple.
And how about this? If you have to lie to get views, you suck.
