Filthy Casual for Life

The older I get, the more time seems to pass quickly. I can’t believe it is already August! What the heck. Thought I would give y’all a quick update on what is going on in the ChibiChonk world.

Work. Let’s start with work. Things have been sailing on calm waters. Thank God. We hired a new paralegal who starts on the 11th. I’m looking forward to another staff member that can help one of our partners. She has been working without her own paralegal and I know that is probably stressful.

World of Warcraft. Unfortunately (yes, unfortunately), my husband sucked me back into World of Warcraft. I was playing EverQuest, but I got to a point where I really didn’t have much to do solo. What I do like about WoW is the ability to play alone. I like going my own speed and am not interested in raiding. There is still plenty for me to do without going all out.

Anime. I’ve been enjoying the season. I apologize for the lack of content. I’m still unsure how I want to process each season.

Japan. We are still on track financially for March 2027!

Aruba. It can’t come soon enough (February).

Shipt. You might recall that I started a side gig. Unfortunately, it isn’t going so well. For the past two weekends, there were no jobs. The few that popped up disappeared so fast because there are so few. I’m going to keep trucking along and hope that things improve.

CPAP. Last month, I had breathing problems and had to go to a pulmonologist. We ended up upgrading my CPAP machine and it has helped a ton. It’s amazing what a new machine can do.

Diabetes. My diabetes isn’t doing the greatest. My morning numbers are high and I am afraid my endocrinologist is going to suggest fast-acting insulin again. I worked so hard to get off of that stuff. I see her today. Let’s hope she doesn’t have any huge changes.
