So, I did a thing.

I’ve been wanting purple hair – like, forever. I just never followed through. I went to the stylist for a consultation with the request to turn my hair gray/silver and black. She talked me out of it. Not only would it be super expensive, it would be super damaging to my hair. After thinking about it, I decided to pull the trigger and have it dyed purple. It came out better than I expected. It’s not a BAM, in your face purple. I wouldn’t say it is exactly subtle either. It’s a happy medium.

    Wow, that purple hair looks great with green eye shadow! Very exotic. I like it! I’ve been thinking of getting pink highlights, but like your experience, my beautician said it would be very damaging for my wimpy hair and it was a bad idea. My hair is very wimpy and breaks easily, so I’m still thinking about it.
