Filthy Casual for Life

Our AC went out again. We have had to repair our AC FOUR times this summer. Four. This week, it was the blower motor. As of today, we have replaced most of the major components of the HVAC unit. Thankfully, it was all under warranty. Does not mean free, though. Just cheaper.

Thinking of a change. I’ve been really considering a change of scenery. Part of me wants to completely uproot and move back home (Dallas/Fort Worth area). I know that really isn’t in our cards at this very moment, but the want is there. I miss the DFW area. Not sure what I’d do for work. I know I would leave the paralegal field for something new. I’m realizing more and more each day that I am not actually a very good paralegal. 17 years doing something and you’d think you’d be good, right? Well, I’m not. I’m learning really quickly that I am not good at my job.

Got new eyeglasses on order. I decided to try Pair eyewear. The concept is super neat. The base frames are magnetic so you can put different toppers on. I ordered the Kirby frame.

I bought a few toppers, but I am most excited about my Thanksgiving one. It has turkeys!

Anime. This season has been baller! I’ve been enjoying watching so many shows this season. I’m going to do an anime intro for the ones I enjoyed the most, so look forward to that.

New digital photo frames. We bought one for my mother-in-law and I ended up wanting one. I got them off of Amazon. It’s touchscreen, 1920×1080 resolution, and 15.6 inch screen. I like it a lot. It has been nice to see pictures of my dogs throughout the day. Just a little boost of happiness in an otherwise not-so-happy place. Don’t get me wrong. Everyone HATES working LOL.

Govee Lamp. I also spent money on a Govee Table Lamp 2. I like to keep the lights off in my office. It has can (recessed) lights. I am probably the only person in the world that dislikes recessed office lights. I like the plain, old, fluorescents that give off a lot of light in a consistent manner. The current lights in my office trigger headaches. The Govee lamp really doesn’t add anything to my office other than fun colors. It does have a white light setting that I’ll use when I need bright light. Again, a little boost of happiness in a not-so-happy situation.

Anyhow, that’s my mid-October check in. I spent too much money. Having a blast watching anime again. Not so happy thoughts about my future in the paralegal field. That about sums it up.
