THE NEVER LIST
Written by: Jade Presley

Genre: Romance, Fantasy, Reverse Harem

I’ve never really caught on to audiobooks. I’ve tried time and time again, but I really do love the page-turning feeling of a hard copy book. However, my co-workers are all into audiobooks and I decided to give it another try. My first suggestion from our unofficial book club?

The Never List.

I would not consider myself a romantasy fan. I typically prefer thriller dark novels with murder, mystery, and intrigue. But, I have to say this book caught me in the first chapter.

The Never List tells the story of Rylee Gray, a woman from the wrong side of the kingdom Lumathyst. Her adventurous sister went missing and now she is on a mission to find her. Using the skills of her friends, she is fashioned a forged invitation to The Choosing, a high stakes game where the chosen female becomes the mate to the four immortal, god-princes of the kingdom. If The Chosen passes all of the tests, she will become Queen, ruling over the kingdom with the princes. If she decides to withdraw, she is raised a level in social status. Rylee didn’t intend to get chosen. She just wanted to find her sister, but to her dismay, the Princes choose her number. What is she going to do? She is a low-born and they will most definitely kill her when they find out she forged the invitation to The Choosing.

THOUGHTS

This book is not for the faint of heart! If you’re into sex, and lots of it, this book is definitely for you. If you don’t mind a reverse harem, this book is for you. If you turn your nose up at multiple sex partners, then this book is NOT for you. The Princes share their mate in all ways.

The biggest criticism I have found when researching The Never List is the plot only exists to move it on to the next sex scene. I can definitely see that point of view. However, I enjoyed the adventure from one prince to the next. If you think that type of progression will bother you, then this isn’t the book for you.

This book is SPICY. Super spicy. I don’t really need to go into details. Four princes. One female. They share. That’s all you need to know.

Overall, I found my love of the romantasy genre. I loved the story of this one and the ending. *chef’s kiss*
