Thursday. January 22nd. I woke up to the sound of my husband getting ready to take the dogs out for their morning walk. I normally fall back asleep, but not today. My stomach was rebelling. It felt like a ship being tossed by rough seas. I stared at the ceiling. Maybe a cup of coffee? My husband came back from his walk and I tried to distract myself with talk about our upcoming Japan trip in 2027. I’ve been slowly planning it for a while now. As I sipped on my coffee, I rattled on about Harajuku, Shibuya, and Ikebukuro. The small talk wasn’t helping. I laid back down for a bit hoping for some respite. My alarm went off. Shit.
I arrived at work distracted, but happy. I went around the office and proclaimed it BTS Day. My co-workers have had to endure my endless talk about BTS and their upcoming world tour. I feel sorry for them.
I took a half day off of work because I wasn’t about to use company time to get tickets. I NEEDED to be at my computer with my snacks and drinks and other sundries.
I opened up SeatGeek on my browser. I navigated to BTS, AT&T Stadium, Arlington, Texas – August 15, 2026. Around 2:15 p.m., the waiting room opened up. It was a torturous 45 minutes to wait for the presale to begin. Once the screen refreshed at 3:00 p.m., the indicator showing my place in line shot up. My hands started sweating. I was about to puke all over the place. I sipped on my Gold Peak Zero Sugar tea. I took deep breaths. Then, about 3:35 p.m., the ticket screen popped up. There were no VIP tickets left. I was really hoping for VIP. I changed the filters for floor seats. There were a few left. Selected the seats. No longer available. Selected another pair of seats. Thought they were floor seats. I almost purchased them before I noticed it was for the 400s. Nose bleed. What do I do?! There wasn’t a way to go back to the previous screen.
After staring at the screen, I took the risk. I hit the back button. Thankfully, it didn’t start me over in the queue. I entered my BTS membership number and started picking tickets again. 2 tickets. Best available. Section 144.

With sweaty palms, a racing heart, a churning stomach, and a pounding headache, I managed to secure tickets in Section 144. We will be looking directly at one of the stages.
It’s now 7:00 p.m. and I am still jittery and anxiety-ridden. I hope that I will be able to sleep tonight. I did it. I got BTS tickets. I’ll see you in August, my kings!
