If It’s for My Daughter follows the story of Dale, a highly-skilled adventurer. While on a job deep in the forest, he comes across a little devil girl. Unable to leave her alone and seal her fate, he takes her home and becomes her adoptive father.
There isn’t much to say about this anime other than yell, “KAWAIIIII!!!!”
The anime follows the day-to-day life of Dale and his adoptive devil daughter, Latina. We don’t know much about Latina, and at episode 9 of 12 into the series, I am not sure we ever will. In this world, there is magic and a clash between demon society and humans. Again, we are nearing the end of the series, and we know very little about the demons/devils. So, if the title intrigued you, as it did me, it may very well continue to allude us!
That being said, following Dale and Latina is absolutely adorable. Latina is a sweet, sweet child that is thoughtful and loving and makes this show worth watching. Dale plays the doting father very well. Overall, the show is just wholesome. Sometimes, it is nice to sit back and watch something that will rot all of your teeth from all of the sweet things going on.
If you’re looking for a show to kill time and put a smile on your face, this series will most definitely accomplish that, but beyond that, it doesn’t really have much going for it. I do recommend it, but only if you’re looking for that high dose of kawaii!
