Hi, friends! Hope all is well in your respective worlds!

Easter Weekend

Did you all have a wonderful Easter weekend? Our best friend Brad came down from Kansas and spent the holiday weekend with us. Unfortunately, I had my head stuck up my ass and failed to take pictures! I guess you can say I was living in the moment. Thankfully, Brad took some pictures of our trip to Honey Pig Korean BBQ. He was even kind enough to take a picture of me and the husband. We didn’t feast on the normal Easter fare. I cooked pork fried rice, lumpia, and cream cheese rangoons.

The Gym

I am sad to report that I already fell off the bandwagon. Well, not completely. The aforementioned best friend visit gave me an excuse to not go to the gym. The important thing is, I woke up this morning at 5 a.m. and went to the gym. As a diabetic, I heal and recover a lot slower than a healthy person. The five-day break actually helped me have a good workout this morning.

The Conqueror Tokyo Challenge

My progress on the Tokyo walking challenge stalled because of the five-day break. No worries. I plan to get back on track this week. The challenge is to walk a total of 45 miles. I set a time goal of 92 days. Not sure why I chose such a high goal. So far, I have completed 15 miles in 15 days.

Doodles

Due to time constraints, I didn’t have a lot of time to doodle. I did attempt Katsuki Yuri from Yuri on Ice.

Total Eclipse of the Heart

So, I don’t know if you heard, but this thing called an “eclipse” is supposed to happen April 8th. Are any of you in the path? I live in Central Texas and we are on the path. I should be able to witness it right from work. That being said, the local schools and daycares have all closed for the day in anticipation of the increase of traffic to the area. My work MIGHT be letting us work from home on Monday. That would be cool as Georgetown, the city I live in, is supposed to last three minutes.

Whelp. That brings you up to speed in my world. Spring anime has already started, so I better get busy writing about those first impressions! Take care!

  1. That’s actually pretty fantastic that you were so in the moment 😊 Pictures are nice, but sometimes it feels better to just enjoy life 🌸 And that Korean bbq looks super good!! Rooting for you to get back on your gym goals and not be too hard on yourself 😉

  2. That Korean BBQ looks amazing. The artwork is good too. And, you’ve got lots of time for exercise so take it slow and steady.

Also, we’re expecting a 98.5% eclipse here and the schools have also closed. It’ll be my second total eclipse. Be sure to listen for the birds, or absence of, who all go to bed thinking it’s night time.
