Filthy Casual for Life

There are so many things that I am passionate about. Life. Love. Laughter. Family. My job. But I think those are given. I would say that most people are passionate about these things. Well…maybe not their job LOL. So, I decided to pick something less profound.

BTS

If you’ve been following me for any length of time, you would know that I am a faithful member of ARMY. My origin story is like many others. I fell down an unexpected rabbit hole.

I was browsing YouTube around 9 p.m. at night when a recommended video popped up. It was carpool karaoke with James Corden.

I’m not a big James Corden fan, but I noticed BTS was the artist taking part in the carpool karaoke. Now, I had never listened to BTS. In fact, the only thing I knew about BTS was their fan base was crazy. I had always heard such negative things about their fan base. Honestly, I let my prejudice keep me from listening to them.

With nothing better to watch, I decided to give it a go. Within seconds, I fell in love with Jimin. I saw his face and thought, “Who is this angel?!”

Then, he sang and I thought, “He even has the voice of an angel.”

By the end of the video, I was starstruck.

Then is started. I began watching video after video and before I knew it, it was 3 a.m. I was hooked. I wanted to know everything about them.

And that is how I became passionate about BTS, their music, their individuality, their brotherhood.
