EPISODE 4: LIKE THE MOVIES

Filming has wrapped. We learn that Hisashi is being recruited for the drama club, but the director is having no part in it declaring that Hisashi is part of the film club since he discovered him. Hisashi and Mao walk back to the dorms together. Hisashi confronts Mao that he is hiding something. He encourages Mao to talk to him since they are together. Mao admits that he was disappointed in himself for being selfish when he heard the drama club was recruiting him. Mao wants to support Hisashi in whatever he choses to do. Hisashi sneezes and Mao tells him to change before he catches a cold. So Hisashi whispers in his ear to warm him up.

Hisashi and Mao sleep together. When they wake up, it’s 1130 at night. They sneak out of the dorm to go to the convenience store. It’s a beautiful night and Mao notices the stars. It is then that Hisashi admits that he wants to join the drama club because he wants Mao to look at him forever. Sensing he needs to tell Hisashi how he feels, Mao reinforces his feelings and confesses that he wants everyone to know they are together forever.

Back in their room, they are getting ready for bed. They have a conversation about their clubs. Since Hisashi has to wake up early, they go to sleep in their own beds, however, Hisashi notices Mao can’t sleep. He invites him over to his bed, but the instant they touch, Hisashi wants to go further. Mao agrees, but then falls asleep.

The next day, club runs late. As Mao gets to the door, he hears Hisashi. It sounds like he is on the phone with someone. Mao immediately thinks he is talking to his ex. Mao takes a deep breath and reminds himself that he trusts Hisashi. He walks in and Hisashi is practicing lines. He tells Mao he got a part in the next play. Crying, Mao congratulates Hisashi. Mao admits to Hisashi that he thought he was on the phone with his ex.

It’s after curfew and Mao tells Hisashi to get ready. They’re going out past curfew. Mao wants to go to an observatory to take pictures with his camera. Meanwhile, Hisashi is reflecting on how much he used to hate the night. Now, with Mao, he realizes that maybe it wasn’t that he hated the night. Hisashi thinks he was just scared of being alone. Hisashi tries to get frisky, but Mao immediately calms him down.

THOUGHTS

These boys can’t keep their hands off each other! Thankfully, it is balanced out by their willingness to talk to each other about everything. Even the mundane every day happenings. It’s sweet that they are head-over-heels for each other. What I like is that they actually developed feelings for each other without realizing it. So, to some, it may seem that their relationship is rushed, to me, it grew into something explosive. I’m looking forward to their continued relationship. Will continue to monitor.
