Last time we chatted, I just got back from our cruise. I shared with you all that I caught a chest cold during the cruise and spent most of the cruise in my cabin. By the last day of the cruise, I felt fine. We even got to enjoy Coco Cay.

Then, I got back home.

For the past week, I have been unable to breathe properly. My chest cold turned into a bacterial infection in my chest. I was put on antibiotics, Albuterol, and Tessalon Perles. I ended up missing quite a bit of work. I just returned to work today and that was hard. Getting up and walking was like running a marathon. I was so out of breath!

I was told that the cough can linger for WEEKS. Are you serious?! Unfortunately, I did quite a bit of coughing at work. I feel terrible because I don’t want the people around me to feel uncomfortable that I’m there. I was told that I was not contagious, but how many people actually believe that when you’re hacking up one of your lungs? So, on top of being behind, I felt self-conscious and anxiety-ridden. Not the greatest combo.

So, here I am. WAY behind on blogging and anime. I can’t seem to catch a break.

Either way, I’m doing my best to take care of myself. I am going to try to knock out some posts this weekend and get back on track.

Stay healthy, friends! It is a cesspool out there!

  1. Hang in there. It’s the season for that sort of thing at the moment, not that that’s much comfort. I prescribe rest, fluids, and anime, although I’m no doctor… Get well soon!

  2. I hope you feel better soon! It’s been a rough year for that sort of thing.
