I’ve been working diligently to plan our trip to Japan. I know it is a year away, but I don’t do so well with last-minute planning. I would much rather have a solid infrastructure in place. Then, we can move things, delete things, or add things throughout the year.

The tentative plan is to leave Texas on Thursday, March 25, 2027. We will land in Tokyo on Friday, March 26, 2027. On Friday, we’re going to CoCo Curry and 7-Eleven and then call it a night.

Harajuku and Ikebukuro will be our first full day.

Marion Crepes. Crepes. They’re a Japanese icon. It’s going to be the first stop of the day. Talk about a healthy breakfast!

Strawberry Fetish. Strawberries. They are also iconic. At Strawberry Fetish, they’re allegedly known for candied strawberry skewers. We’re looking forward to trying them.

Sanrio Store – Harajuku. Of course I am going to go to the Sanrio Store! I am told there is exclusive Harajuku merch that I have to get my hands on.

Harry Potter Shop. I have a co-worker that is in love with Harry Potter. I plan on picking her up a little something while I am in Japan.

Pokemon Center Mega Tokyo. This is one of two Pokemon Centers we plan on visiting during our trip. I am hoping to pick up something exclusive to this particular Pokemon Center.

Sanrio Vivitix. This is a Sanrio store that sells the perfect souvenir. It’s a customized stamp! Gotta go here and get one.

Gashacoco Ikebukuro. What is a trip to Japan without going to a gatcha store? This one is down the street from Sunshine City. It boasts 1,500 gatcha machines!

Rainbow Karaoke. I can’t wait to sing! Can’t go to Japan without hitting up a karaoke studio. This is a mere four minute walk from our hotel.

I have some backup places in store in case we can’t make it in to a specific place. We are doing this on a Saturday, so I am expecting it to be super busy.

What do you think? Sound like a fun day?
