My husband and I are going to Tokyo for a week in late March, early April 2027. I’ve been posting my itinerary for everyone to comment on, give suggestions, etc. If you know of some place I should add, let me know in the comments. I’ve linked my previous posts below.

Day One: Ikebukuro + Harajuku

Day Two: Asakusa + Ueno

Day Three: Akihabara

Day four is going to be dedicated to a day trip to Atami. We were originally going to go to Hakone, but found a recommendation to try Atami. The best part is we would get to take the shinkansen (bullet train).

MOA Museum of Art. I’m looking forward to visiting this museum. Allegedly, it’s perched on a hilltop and has beautiful views. It is said to have panoramic views of the sea.

Kinomiya Shrine. The Shrine is home to an estimated 2,000 year-old camphor tree! This shrine is dedicated to the deity of forestry.

Atami Ginza Shopping Street. This is where I REALLY want to go. It is said that this street is home to great street food and souvenirs.

TB Burger Cafe & Bar. For lunch, we are going to try a Japanese burger spot. I know that’s not really exciting, but this place looked good.

Atami Pudding Cafe. For dessert, we’re going to hit up the pudding cafe. I’ve heard great things about their pudding. I can’t wait!

Atami Castle. I am also looking forward to visiting the Atami Castle. Again, I hear the photo opportunities are worth the day trip.

After we visit the castle, we will take the shinkansen back to Tokyo Station and then walk over to a few stores I want to go to.

Ginza Itoya. This is supposed to be an awesome stationery store. It’s 12 floors!

Ginza Loft. A short walk away is Ginza Loft. It’s a department store known for unique gifts.

I haven’t decided on where we’ll go to dinner. It will probably be a game-time decision!
