It was late early Thursday morning. Like 1 a.m. early. The dogs needed to go to the bathroom. I heard a chime. An email came in. Out of curiously, I decided to check it. It was an official email from the Savannah Bananas. Some seats opened up in their official ticketing system. You see, earlier in the year, I didn’t make it into their official lottery system to get tickets. I was pretty bummed out because my husband really wanted to go see them. Sure, you could buy resale. At ridiculous prices. Taking a chance, I looked at the tickets and found some in the nosebleed section along the third baseline for a reasonable price, so I bought them.
On Sunday, we drove to Arlington, Texas which is about two and a half hours away from where I live. We got to Globe Life Stadium which is a beautiful stadium. It is where the Texas Rangers play. What we didn’t know is it is an enclosed stadium so it had air conditioning. Thank the Gods. We were 100% prepared for the Texas heat and sun. First things first, we had to get some merch. We bought some hats.
As I mentioned, our seats were in the nosebleeds along the third baseline, but they weren’t bad.
We enjoyed ourselves. The game was fun. Would I recommend it? Of course I would. It was a blast. The music really helps spruce up the game. The tricks were cool. The band on the field was cool. The dancing was cool. I loved the fact that they limit the game to 2 hours. That’s right. 2 hours. That is the one thing I HATE about baseball. It simply goes on way too long. Right now, the average MLB baseball game is roughly 3 hours, y’all. That’s way too long.
Anyhow, the Bananas ended up winning!
It was a long drive home. We didn’t end up walking in the door until 9 p.m., but it was a well-worth it day.
