@justrojie wants to know, “What is your most used cliché or what is your favorite cliché?”
I actually had to look up what “cliché” actually meant because I didn’t want to answer the question poorly.
A cliché (pronounced klee-SHAY) is a phrase, expression, idea, situation, or theme that has been used so frequently that it has lost some of its originality, freshness, or impact.
Clichés are often predictable because people have heard or experienced them countless times. However, being a cliché doesn’t necessarily make something untrue or meaningless.
My favorite and most used cliché is probably ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS.
I know it probably isn’t as interesting as something as catchy as “YOLO” but there you have it.
I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt but at some point, their actions speak louder than words and I go with that. I don’t wait forever.
Then, there are times when manipulative people try to pull one over on me. Sorry, I see what you’re doing. Your actions speak louder than words.
Then, there are loved ones that try to make excuses for their transgressions. Sorry, I see what you’re doing. Your actions speak louder than words.
I don’t allow myself to be emotionally hijacked or taken advantage of by people.
What’s your favorite cliché?
