My Senpai is Annoying

Title: My Senpai is Annoying
Genre: Comedy, Romance
Where: Funimation
Synopsis: Igarashi Futuba’s new job would be great if her senpai, Takeda Harumi, wasn’t so incredibly annoying! Futuba hates his laugh, she hates how big he is, and she really hates that he treats her like a little kid. Just because Futuba is short and looks young doesn’t make her a kid, and just because she spends so much time with Takeda doesn’t mean she sees him as anything but an annoying senpai… or does she?!

POTENTIAL SPOILERS. PROCEED WITH CAUTION.

This anime was not on my radar, but I am glad that I stumble upon it. We meet our protagonist, Igarashi. She’s absolutely tiny and adorable. She is also very motivated. Her goal is to become an invaluable salesperson. She is mentored by Takeda, her senpai. He’s over-the-top exuberant, but also kind-hearted and this annoys Igarashi. He takes responsibility for her mistakes which leaves her feeling frustrated, but, after all, that is what a good senpai does.

As the show progresses, we notice our protagonist slowly begins to find his qualities endearing. She even goes as far as to give him a Christmas gift. After all, it is to show appreciation for his guidance. Or is it?

At first, his mannerisms annoy her. He pats her on the head. He walks slower so she can catch up. All she wants is for Takeda to treat her as if she wasn’t a tiny, cute human. However, we find that Igarashi is more frustrated that he doesn’t see her as a proper woman.

I am three episodes in and totally invested. If you like a cute rom-com, this one is for you.
