Hi everyone! I hope that this month has treated you well. March has been a VERY good month in my household.
The Cruise. If you haven’t already read about it, we went on a cruise at the beginning of March to Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao. It was amazing and we wish we were still there! You can read about it here: Cruise to the ABC Islands

We booked our Japan hotel room. Can you believe it? After all of the YEARS writing about our INTENT to go, we’ve actually booked the hotel room. Interestingly, we did not go with the original hotel that we planned. We originally were planning at staying at a hotel in Shibuya. It was directly over Shibuya Station and overlooked the iconic Shibuya Crossing. However, we found a cheaper alternative that we couldn’t turn down. Instead, we are now staying in Shinjuku at Hotel Groove. There are some downsides to it. First, we’ll be about a 10-minute walk from the station versus being literally on top of one. Second, we’ll be a stone’s throw from Japan’s red-light district. We don’t really plan on being out in the nightlife, so we didn’t really see an issue with it. There are some pros. First, we get an updated room. The hotel is fairly new and the rooms are more contemporary. Second, we get a larger room. Hotel rooms in Japan are tiny, so for us, the more space, the better.

BTS.

It’s been four years and it felt like an eternity.
It was the month of BTS’s comeback and it has been epic! First, I ordered my light sticks for the concert. That, in of itself, was just as stressful as getting the concert tickets. Holy hell it was nuts. You might be wondering what the hell a light stick is. Well, many K-pop fandoms have a band-specific light stick to bring to concerts/events. In the case of BTS, this is their new light stick. It’s awesome. It syncs with the concert so there is a built in lightshow.

On March 20th, the album Arirang was released. The album is lit. There isn’t a song on there that I don’t thoroughly and honestly enjoy. I bought a physical and digital copy. I’ve been listening to it nonstop.
On March 21st, at 6:00 a.m., I woke up to watch their live comeback special on Netflix. Ignore the crazy bedhead and lack of makeup.

It was/is AMAZING. Seeing them back together like no time has passed made my heart swell with pride. They looked so good and sounded even better. I was so proud of them. I can’t imagine the pressure to perform well after a four-year hiatus. The expectations were crazy and they delivered. I watch it nonstop.
That’s been my month of March. It’s been good to me. Except for today. Today I stayed home with a stomach bug, but I feel better after a day of rest.
I hope your month of March was just as positive!
