You’ve been randomly given $1,000 dollars. You can’t invest it, put it in savings, etc. You must spend it. What do you do with it?

I would send it to my friend who has never been to the beach and tell him to either spend it on a weekend cruise, or plan a weekend to drive/fly somewhere and go to a beach.

I’ve been blessed in life that I’ve been able to go to many beaches in life. I’ve been on cruises to Mexico and Aruba. When he told me that he’s never been to a beach, that broke my heart. Everyone deserves to experience the hell that is sand in their eyes and in every crevice in their bodies.

$1,000 should cover MOST of it, right? I know weekend cruises are pretty cheap nowadays. Anyhow, that’s what I would do.

    Helping a friend experience the beauty of the shores is a wonderful gesture! My family have been fishermen for over a 1000 years, and during WW2 we transitioned to the navy. There is no record of my family ever living more than a few miles from the shore. It’s heartbreaking to think that some people have never seen how beautiful beaches, rocky shores, and oceans are. I could talk for hours about how majestic the sea is! Lol, on my mom’s side there was a family myth that we were descendants of merfolk and something bad would happen to us if we lived too far away from open water. I don’t think anyone in my family really believes that, but no one has ever tried it either.

      That’s awesome about your family history! I get choked up everytime we happen to fall in the subject. I just want him to experience happiness. He deserves it.
