Do you ever think about the small things that IMPROVE your day? I think we often get hung up on the things that bring us down during the day. I know I do.

Texting my Casey and “T”: This keeps me absolutely sane. Without their constant contact, I don’t know what I would do. They keep me grounded, you know?

My digital picture frame. On my desk, I have a digital picture frame that only I can see. It has pictures of me and Casey, my trips, and my best friend.

My co-workers. What would I do without my co-workers. They totally improve my work day. Again, they might not be a “small” thing.

My BTS shrine. I have this tower in the corner of my office that houses my BTS merchandise. I look at it often and it brings a smile to my face.

Snacky snacks. What would a day be without access to snacky snacks? When my blood sugar goes low, I need those snacky snacks, y’all. Okay. This might be mandatory, but still. They improve my day.

My Amazon Music playlist. This is a new addition. I recently created a playlist to play at work. This has brought me recent joy. Yes, I don’t use Spotify, Apple Music, etc.

Coffee. How could I forget? My morning coffee. I have this HUGE coffee cup I bring from home. I think it’s 32 ounces. It’s pretty close. I drink the whole thing throughout the day. Nectar of the Gods.

My collection of pens. I have a ridiculous amount of pens on my desk. They make me happy. I used maybe 1/10th of them, but I like having choices.

My little sticker printer. I have this sticker printer that I use to print out little stickers for absolutely no other reason than to label dates on my notes. It makes me ridiculously happy.

What about you? Do you have little things that make you happy throughout the day?

  1. That’s a great point! I often can be sensitive to things that go wrong, but there is so much great each day to enjoy too, and they deserve to be thought about 😀

  2. Lol, that totally reminded me of dinner last night. We were watching a special about radioactive clean up in my state during dinner. I have no idea why we were watching this. And we were both (me and my house mate) were a bit down after it. But we were also eating some really delicious cake (I made it from scratch and I was very proud of it). So my room mate says to me, “Well, the future looks bleak, but at least the cake was good.” That got me laughing and put a smile back on my face. Even when big bad things happen, it’s important to find joy in the little good things.
