I’ve been thinking about unrequited love a lot lately. I’m not quite sure why, but I have.
After a lot of thought and consideration, I’ve decided that it doesn’t have to be. Unrequited love is a deep affection that simply isn’t returned or maybe can’t be returned.
There are many types of relationships that could exist where unrequited love could potentially form:
- Family
- Former relationships
- Friendships
I think friendships can be especially painful. Sometimes, you have to really evaluate your friendship. You can love a friend so deeply without wanting to date them, yet still be heartbroken when you realize that you would choose them every time, but they wouldn’t choose you.
