My husband works in IT for a city here in Texas. One of his vendors invited him to a tailgate event at The University of Texas at Austin vs. Ole Miss game on October 24th. I had never been to a tailgating event at UT. It was crazy! Who knew college football was such an event. There were tents all over the place. People everywhere. Fans everywhere. Music everywhere. I should have expected it, but I honestly didn’t. They had an open bar and I had a blackberry margarita that was pretty awesome. It had a Tajin rim that I thought wouldn’t pair with it well, but it did. I bought a jersey just for the game and am happy to report that I fit into a large. A LARGE. I haven’t fit into a large since high school. Granted, it was a men’s large and a jersey, but still. I’ll take it.
I am also happy to report that the Longhorns WON. Hook ’em.
