Having things to look forward to is magical. But, what makes it magical?

Anticipation. There is always the anticipation. That feeling of excitement of the upcoming event.

Purpose. Having something to look forward to gives the day purpose. It gives the day a goal.

Happiness. Anticipation and purpose creates happiness. That happiness, in turn, creates that feeling of magic when you’re looking forward to something.

I am blessed that I have two things that I look forward to at the end of every work day.

My husband. At the end of the work day, I get to come home to my husband. He always has dinner ready to go when I get home. I am diabetic and shouldn’t eat later than 6:30 p.m. at night. I get home at 6:00 p.m., so he has dinner ready. I am blessed that he does this for me. He’s a loving man and takes good care of me.

My best friend. After I eat, my best friend is waiting online so that we can play online games together. Every night. He is absolutely patient with me because I absolutely suck at video games. He is an absolute angel always letting me pick what I want to do.

I look forward to my two guys every night and it is a magical feeling every day.

  1. This is wonderful! I think this is also part of why I love films, and specifically going to the cinema, so much – it becomes an event to look forward to in the week. 😀
