What I Want to Accomplish in 2023

Every once in a while, I watch YouTube creator Harris Heller of Senpai Gaming. He is an excellent resource on streaming, how to grow your channel, and all of the equipment that goes along with streaming. He is pretty insightful, so give his stream/YouTube videos a watch. He also creates free music for creators to use on YouTube. He had a pretty good video about goals. It inspired me to take his approach this year. He mentioned that “resolutions” are not the most significant investment. It made a lot of sense to me. What good is a resolution if you don’t have a plan of action to complete that resolution? I’m taking that to heart. There are a few GOALS that I have this new year.

  • Finish school. I am sort of intimidated by my last semester. There really isn’t a plan of action for this one. I need to study, turn in assignments on time, etc. I already do that. I just need to reach the finish line.
  • Read. I just joined the Fantastic Strangelings Book Club. I’ve never been a part of an actual book club, so it would be an excellent way to get me to reach my goal. I love paper books. Don’t get me wrong. E-books have their place in my repertoire as well. I still prefer paper books. I aim to read a chapter a day. Reading a chapter a day is a lofty goal, but we’ll see if I can achieve it.
  • Listen. I also want to give audiobooks another try. I just renewed my Audible subscription, so hopefully, I will find more books I like.
  • Blog. I want to get back on a regular blogging schedule. I’ve already started laying the groundwork with a couple of scheduled posts. I plan to post Tuesdays and Fridays at noon.

I believe I have a sensible plan of action. We’ll check back at the mid-point and the end of the year to see how well I have kept up with my goals and what prevented me from reaching them if I don’t reach my goals.
